A polyarylene sulfide resin composition comprising a compound obtained by mixing 60-99 parts by weight of a polyarylene sulfide resin (A), 40-1 parts by weight of a polyorganosiloxane rubber (B), 0.01-10 parts by weight of an organosilane compound having at least one epoxy group and at least one alkoxy group bonded directly to a silicon atom (C) and 0-300% by weight of a reinforcing filler (D) based on the total weight of the components (A), (B) and (C) where the total amount of the components (A) and (B) is 100 parts by weight. The polyarylene sulfide resin composition is excellent in impact resistance, heat resistance, mechanical strength, moldability and the like.

(a) an aromatic polyester constituted of an aromatic dicarboxylic acid and a dihydric phenol, a lower aliphatic diol or an alicyclic diol, (b) an aromatic polyester constituted of an aromatic hydroxycarboxylic acid, (c) a copolymer constituted of (a) and (b), and a polyorganosiloxane segment having a recurring unit represented by the following formula: (in this formula, R₁, R₂ and R₃ means the groups as specified in the specification) of which bonding part between the polyester segment and the polyorganosiloxane segment is an ester linkage formed by a condensation reaction between the terminal carboxyl group of the polyester segment and the terminal hydroxyl group of the polyorganosiloxane segment.

A polyarylene sulfide resin composition comprising 60-99 parts by weight of a polyarylenesulfide resin (A), 40-1 parts by weight of a polyorganosiloxane graft copolymer (B) prepared by grafting a vinyl monomer on a polyorganosiloxane rubber having a degree of swelling in a range of 3 - 50 measured using toluene as a solvent and an average particle size in a range of 0.15 µm - 0.5 µm and being copolymerized with a graft-linking agent, where the total amount of the (A) component and the (B) component is 100 parts by weight, and 0-150 parts by weight of a reinforcing filler (C). A polyarylene sulfide resin composition according to the present invention is excellent in impact resistance, heat resistance, mechanical strength and moldability and useful for an engineering plastic.
