The thus-obtained polypropylene-base resin compositions are suitable for use in the production of large moldings such as automobile bumpers, fenders and body sidemembers because of their excellent low-temperature impact resistance, high molding fluidity, good paintability and high stiffness as well as their low preparation cost.

    摘要: A polypropylene resin composition which is excellent in transparency and scarcely causes lowering of the pH of an extract in an accelerated hot water extraction test of a polypropylene resin irradiated with a radiation for the purpose of sterilization. The composition comprises 100 parts by weight of polypropylene resin, 0.01 to 1.0 part by weight of metal diaryl phosphate of general formula; and 0.001 to 1.0 part by weight of a hydroxide of an alkali metal, an alkaline earth metal or an aluminum group metal (I), wherein R1 and R2 each represent hydrogen or alkyl; M represents alkali metal or alkaline earth metal; n is an integer of 1 or 2; and A represents alkylidene. This composition is suitable for medical appliances, food containers, and so forth.

    摘要: A process for producing polypropylene resin composition, which comprises heating at 170 to 280°C a composition containing specific amounts of a crystalline ethylene/propylene block copolymer of a specific formulation, an ethylene/ propylene copolymer rubber of a specific formulation and a specific viscosity, an inorganic filler of a specific particle size, and an organic peroxide. The obtained polypropylene resin composition is excellent in low-temperature impact strength and mold flowability, has good coatability and high rigidity, and is inexpensive, thus being suited for use as large-sized moldings such as bumpers, fenders, side molds, etc. of automobiles.
