    摘要: An optical interface including a keyway (20) formed in a printed circuit board (16,17) and a mating portion (22) attached to the ends of a plurality of optical fibers (28). Openings (24) in a surface (25) of the keyway (20) communicate light from the fibers (28) to semiconductor chips (14) on the board (16,17) by means of optical waveguides formed in the dielectric layers (17) of the printed circuit board (16,17). The keyway (20) accurately aligns the mating portion (22) which aligns the ends of the fibers (28) with the openings (24).
