Process of environmental recovery in urban regions, charaterised by the fact that it is formed by stages which start from the canalized domestic course (1) of water and sewer to be carried out in a micro process of removal of polluting material and/or substances (20), followed by, at least, one stage of aeration (11) of the canalized watercourse until it reaches the secondary watercourse (2), defined by a streamlet or totally urban secondary affluent; next, such secondary watercourse (2) is submitted to a medium process of removal of polluting materials and/or substances (20a), followed by at least one stage of aeration (11) of the secondary watercourse until it reaches the riverbed in its urban section (3), provided that such urban riverbed (3) is submitted to successive and intercalated stages of aeration (11) alongside its watercourse, with macro processes of removal of polluting materials and/or substances (20b), which extend along the urban sector (3) of the affluent watercourse before it reaches the receiving hydro body.

The coupling of a sewer treatment station - STS - to a treatment plant for the flocculation and flotation of water streams and the insertion of said treatment plant for the flocculation and flotation of water streams into a water treatment station - WTS ", the coupling being of the type carried through by the treatment process defined in patent document U.S. No. 10/167.089, of 06/10/2002 and Brazilian No. PI0105462-7, 06/11/2001 and comprising the installation of the sewer treatment station STS upstream the flocculation and flotation treatment station (10), in such a way that the outlet of said station STS (23) is directly connected to the inlet (11) of the flocculation and flotation treatment plant (10) disposed next to the stream bed (1) or next to and interconnected thereto by means of a varying flow canal. The insertion consists of the dynamic introduction of the process of treatment for the flocculation and flotation of fluid beds, all in a closed canal (200), wherein the flow of secondary streams (E) is dynamically and continuously submitted to flocculation and flotation techniques in an induced flow canal (FE) in the water treatment station.

An installation for the removal of pollutant materials and/or substances contained in water streams is provided, comprising the sequential implantation of : -a line of air diffusers (10) disposed on the bottom of the water stream and transversal thereto (1), simultaneously promoting the aeration and revolving of the water stream and also the flotation of the coarse residues (RG) are removedfrom the water stream (1); downstream and at a certain distance of said waste collecting net (20) a suspended structure metallic (30) is disposed transversal to the water stream (1) on which are mounted at least three injection curtains (40, 40a, 40b) that are selectively and automatically actuated, spaced apart and sandwiched between homogenization diffusers (50), the first curtain (40) being responsible for the injection of coagulants; the second curtain (40a) being responsible for the injection of polymers and the third curtain of injection (40b) being responsible for the micro-aeration, wherein the aggregated particles and those of larger sizes are subjected to at least a stage of supersaturated dissolution of water/air that when depressurized set the micro-bubbles free, thus generating a flotation length (MF) in said water stream, wherein the floated material is carried along by longitudinal flexible barriers (13), to a transversal dragging alignment (60), thus promoting the concentration of said floated material (L) and the removal thereof to restricted area remote from the water stream (1) by a pumping action.
