The invention relates to a method for transmitting data between two systems, said two systems comprising means for transmitting and/or receiving signals by means of an especially electromagnetic carrier wave (25) in the low-band range for being operational. The signal (12) transmitted between the two systems contains a date (26) consisting of bits. The signal (12) is modulated by a phase shift keying method in such a manner that the change (27) of a bit in the date (26) is encoded by the rapid change in phase in the manner of a phase shift (28) of the carrier wave (25). The invention also relates to a locking system, especially for the authorization to access and/or drive a motor vehicle in the manner of a keyless entry/go functionality. The locking system comprises a first system, having at least two states and being configured as a control system, such as a control system for releasing and/or locking the car doors, the ignition lock, the steering wheel lock, for releasing and/or blocking the immobilizer, the motor control device or the like, and a pertaining second system, configured as an electronic key, an ID transmitter, a chip card or the like.
