According to the invention, the means of connection between the longitudinal girders (2) consist of two layers of reinforcements (4, 4') running transversely between the respectively lower (21) and upper (22) sole plates of the said girders (2) and fixed ridgidly thereto so as to form, with the said girders (2), a monolithic cage of metalwork capable of withstanding the bending loads applied in the longitudinal direction and in the transverse direction by collaborating with the sheet of concrete (3), particularly while the element (1) is being transported and laid on its supports (61, 7). The invention relates to a modular metal bridge, comprising a platform (B), supported by two longitudinal girders made from longitudinal elements (1a, 1b...), connected by transverse members (2) and upper joint elements (23). According to the invention, the upper joint elements are supported by the transverse members (2), connecting the elements (1a, 1b) of the two girders (1, 1') by means of spacer bodies (20) with a height adjusted such as to give a continuous deck (B) at the level of the upper faces (12) of the upper flanges of the longitudinal girders (1, 1').
