To achieve the object, a cutting method is provided for an inner circumferential face or an outer circumferential face of a work, using a cutting tool wherein a distance R from a turning center (6) to a tip of the cutting tool (2) , wherein the angular velocity ω of the cutting tool (2) is increased to take into account the speed with which R decreases, and vice versa.

The cutting method allows a summation to the cutting velocity under simple control.
