摘要: A communication system (400) comprising: a digital serial bus (495), and a master device (490) and at least one slave device (410) connected to said bus; wherein the master and the slave(s) are adapted to communicate according to a predefined communication protocol; wherein the master is adapted for transmitting a continuous bitstream in the form of a plurality of frames, each frame comprising one or more words, each word having a constant time duration, the first word (SOF) of each frame being a unique word transmitted by the master for indicating the start of a frame; one or more bits (Sr) of each word being transmitted by the master as a dominant bit; a non-dominant bit, for allowing the at least one slave to overwrite; the at least one slave adapted for overwriting in the continuous bitstream some non-dominant bits to transmit data in a quasi-synchronous manner.

A controller comprising a control circuit controls the sensor elements to measure an environment attribute, produces more than two values corresponding to the measurement and compares the values to determine a fault. The more than two values are obtained by different combinations of sensor elements that have at least one sensor element in common and one sensor element that is not in common. The values can be measured in different coordinate systems and the control circuit can convert the field vectors into a common coordinate system.

摘要: The present invention relates to a field-sensor device comprising first and second field sensors disposed in corresponding different first and second orientations, each responsive to an external field to produce corresponding first and second sensor signals. One of or both the first and second sensor signals are converted to equivalent comparable sensor signals in a common orientation and compared to determine a faulty field sensor. If a faulty field sensor is determined, a faulty sensor signal is produced or, if a faulty sensor is not determined, an output sensor signal responsive to the first, second or comparable sensor signals is produced. Evaluation of the direction of differences between the comparable sensor signals can determine which of the first and second field sensors is faulty.
