摘要： Various techniques for implementing computer dashboards as cloud-based services are disclosed herein. In one embodiment, a method includes receiving a dashboard file at a server via a computer network, the dashboard file identifying a dashboard having one or more graphical user interface elements individually configured to display and dynamically update data associated with a cloud-based service. The dashboard file further contains metadata indicating a cloud-based subscription. The method also includes associating the received dashboard file with the cloud-based subscription, identifying one or more entities allowed to access the dashboard based on the cloud-based subscription, and displaying, via the computer network, the dashboard identified by the dashboard file to the one or more entities upon verification of the cloud-based subscription.

摘要： The use of a data view component to expose data to a user interface element display logic component. The data exposed by the data view component is from a data set within the data cache. The data view component is able to expose that data due to a binding with the data set. The data view component may improve the user experience by exposing a default data set (such as a null data set) until the requested data set is available, expose only the latest requested data set when there are multiple requests, quickly switch bindings from one data set to another, and/or safely release the binding once the user interface element display logic component ceases to exist.

In one embodiment, a method includes receiving a user input at a client device for initiating an extension in a web page associated with a web site. In response to the received user input, a communication link between the client device and a remote computing facility can be established. The method can also include transmitting a request for initiating the extension, from the client device, to the remote computing facility via the established communication link and receiving, at the client device, data representing execution results of the requested extension from the remote computing facility.
