    摘要: The invention discloses a catalyst for purifying exhaust gas apparatus having a Three-way Catalyst (TWC) superior in purification performance of, particularly, NO x , among carbon monoxide (CO), hydrocarbons (HC), and nitrogen oxides (NO x ), in exhaust gas discharged from a gasoline automobile. It is provided by a catalyst for purifying exhaust gas containing a Rhodium (Rh)-supported porous inorganic oxide and barium sulfate (BaSO 4 ), with supported or not-supported onto alumina, characterized in that at least a part of Rh is present independently from Ba inside a catalyst layer, and Rh-Ba deviation rate determined from EPMA analysis is 10% to 80%. It is preferable that supported amount of Rhodium is 0.05 g/L to 2.0 g/L, and amount of barium sulfate is 0.5 g/L to 25 g/L and 0.5 g/L to 15 g/L, in the case of being supported and not-supported onto alumina, respectively.

    摘要: Provided is a method of producing a cylindrical honeycomb structure with film that is able to prevent catalyst slurry from leaching out to an outer portion thereof during wash coating and is able to ensure ventilation of the outer portion when used as a GPF, the method enabling production in a stable manner at low cost on a mass-production basis. The present invention is a method of producing a film-coated cylindrical honeycomb structure formed with a coating liquid on an outer portion of a cylindrical honeycomb structure including partition walls and the outer portion, the partition walls forming a plurality of cells, the outer portion serving as a circumferential side. In the method, the cylindrical honeycomb structure is mounted between at least two rollers such that the circumferential side of the cylindrical honeycomb structure contacts with circumferential sides of the rollers, the coating liquid supplied from an application part is deposited on the cylindrical honeycomb structure while being rotated, and then the deposited coating liquid is dried or cured to form the film on the outer portion.
