摘要： A method of managing transfer of cash, or other valuable media, is described. The method comprises: providing, to a first location (20), details of cash (or other media) to be loaded into a machine-readable cash container (21 or 26) (step 57); associating the cash details with a unique identifier (22 or 27) associated with the cash container (21 or 26); and storing the associated unique identifier (22 or 27) and cash details. The method incudes, at a subsequent time, receiving, from a second location (11) to which the cash container (21 or 26) has been transported, a request including the unique identifier (22 or 27) read from the cash container (21 or 26) (step 73); accessing the stored cash details using the unique identifier; and providing the stored cash details to the second location (11) (step 74).
