摘要: A coupling member 180 of a glow plug 100 includes a first bend 183 and a second bend 184 folded in an axis direction OD and a joint section 185 in a tapered shape configured to connect the first bend 183 with the second bend 184 and reduce the diameter toward a rear end side of a body portion. Accordingly, in a limited space formed between a housing 130 and a heater unit 150, this configuration increases the length of the coupling member 180, compared with a configuration without any bend folded in the axis direction OD. This results in decreasing the spring constant k of the coupling member 180 and suppressing extension of the coupling member 180 in the axis direction due to thermal expansion. This accordingly prevents an unnecessary load due to the extension of the coupling member 180 in the axis direction from being applied to a pressure sensor 160 via the heater unit 150 and improves the measurement accuracy of the pressure sensor 160.

[Means for Solution] A heater 200 has a rear heat-generating element 260 formed of a resistance heat-generating element, adapted to generate heat through application of electricity, and provided in an axial region thereof between a forward end 136 of a housing and a rear end 315 of a displacement member 300 located rearward of the forward end 136, separately from a forward heat-generating element 205 provided at a forward end portion of the heater for accelerating ignition. 摘要: Provided is a ceramic glow plug equipped with a pressure sensor configured such that, even though a movable member having small heat transfer quantity is employed, deterioration in joining strength at a joint part between the movable member and a portion to which the movable member is attached is avoided, and good heat generation can be maintained over a long period of time. A heat-generating main portion P whose resistance is 75% of the total resistance of a ceramic heater 10 is located forward of the forward end of a holding sleeve 15. Thus, heat propagating rearward from the heat-generating main portion can be radiated from the ceramic heater to an engine head and a plug hole in the course of propagation to the joint part between the holding sleeve and the movable member. Therefore, the influence of heat on the joint part between the holding sleeve and the movable member can be reduced, whereby deterioration in joining strength can be restrained. As a result, there can be restrained damage to the ability to function as a pressure sensor resulting from deterioration in airtightness with respect to combustion gas.
