Abstract: A manufacturing method according to the present invention is a manufacturing method for manufacturing an exterior body of an accumulator including a bottom, a shell, and a port, the method including press fitting the bottom into the shell and melting and solidifying a region including a part of a connection portion that has been press fitted. This manufacturing method makes it possible to obtain an exterior body of an accumulator capable of suppressing detachment of the connection portion at the time of conveyance and a decrease in fatigue strength of the exterior body after joining.
