摘要： A sport ball includes a first casing layer having a plurality of outermost panels. Adjacent ones of the outermost panels abut and are joined directly to one another at a plurality of seams. The first one of the outermost panels has a first internal surface, a first edge adjoining the first internal surface, and a projection extending inward from the first internal surface. A second one of the outermost panels has a second internal surface and a second edge adjoining the second internal surface. The second internal surface abuts and is welded to the projection at an interface. A second reinforcing strip layer is affixed to the first and second internal surfaces with a thermal bond. The second reinforcing strip layer extends across the projection at the interface and joins the first one of the outermost panels to the second one of the outermost panels.

摘要： A sport ball may include a casing having a plurality of panels forming an external exposed surface of the ball, wherein adjacent panels abut one another at seams. A substantial majority of the seams may each be formed by a first panel having a first edge and a second panel having a second edge abutting the first edge of the first panel at an interface, and a reinforcing strip affixed to a first internal surface of the first panel with a first thermal bond and to a second internal surface of the second panel with a second thermal bond, the reinforcing strip extending across the interface between the first panel and the second panel.
