    摘要： A compensator for a liquid crystal display device is made by applying a solution containing a liquid crystalline polymer onto an orientation substrate, then allowing the liquid crystalline polymer to be oriented, and thereafter transferring the resulting layer of the liquid crystalline polymer on the orientation substrate onto a light transmitting substrate, said solution containing the liquid crystalline polymer having incorporated therein 0.01% to 10% by weight of a surface active agent relative to the liquid crystalline polymer.
