摘要: A sealing device which is fitted into an annular groove formed in an outer periphery of a shaft so as to seal an annular gap between said shaft and a housing which rotate relative to each other, thereby to hold a fluid pressure in a region to be sealed which is constructed such that the fluid pressure therein changes, characterized by comprising:
an outer peripheral ring made of resin that is in intimate contact with a side wall surface of said annular groove at a low pressure side thereof, and slides with respect to an inner peripheral surface of a shaft hole in said housing through which said shaft is inserted; and
an inner peripheral ring made of a rubber-like elastic body that is in intimate contact with an inner peripheral surface of said outer peripheral ring and a groove bottom surface of said annular groove, respectively, thereby to push said outer peripheral ring toward an outer peripheral surface side thereof;
wherein said outer peripheral ring is formed on its outer peripheral surface with a plurality of concave portions which are spaced from one another in a circumferential direction and which each extend from an end of a high pressure side to a position which does not arrive at an end of a low pressure side, so as to introduce fluid thereinto from the high pressure side; and

摘要: Provided are a seal ring and a sealing structure that reduce the deviation of the central axis of the seal ring from the central axis of a shaft thereby preventing the seal ring from abutting against the tip end of a housing in the operation of inserting the shaft in the housing. The seal ring is constituted by a thin part 100A which is thin in a radial direction thereof and provided in a range less than 180° with respect to a circumferential direction and a thick part 100B, which is configured to protrude inward in the radial direction from an inner peripheral surface of the thin part 100A, to be thicker in the radial direction than the thin part 100A, the thin part 100A has an abutment joint part 110, and the thick part 100B has, at respective ends of both side surfaces on an inner peripheral surface side thereof, a concave part 120 over an entire range thereof to form a gap between the ends of the both side surfaces and corner parts at both ends of a groove bottom of the annular groove.

摘要: There is provided a seal ring that makes it possible to improve attachability and sealability.
The seal ring 1 is separated from each other in one area and has a shape with ends, is inserted in an annular groove in a shaft by temporarily moving both the fittable ends 3 and 4 away from each other, and thereby seals an annular gap formed between the shaft and a housing that has a shaft hole into which the shaft is inserted. The seal ring is configured such that: one of both the ends 3 and 4 has a projection 31 projecting in the direction of the circumference of the seal ring; the other end 4 has a recess 42 used in combination with the projection 31. The projection 41 and the recess 42 are fitted together while slid against each other, thereby bringing both the ends 3 and 4 into contact with each other.
