A differential-detection demodulator block (9, 36, 54, 76) differential-detects the prediction signal from the equalizer block and subsequently demodulates the differential-detected prediction signal to generate a differential-detection demodulated signal (13b, 37b, 55b, 77b). A selector block (12, 27, 38, 38A, 59, 78) selects either the differential-logic-conversion demodulated signal from the equalizer block or the differential-detection demodulated signal from the difference-detection demodulator block.

    摘要: A frequency diversity transmitting and receiving system comprising a transmitter (1) which transmits after splitting each symbol of an input symbol sequence into a plural number K of chips and then modulates these with mutually differing carrier frequencies, and a receiver (2) which receives the transmitted signals from the transmitter and demodulates them with local frequencies which respectively correspond to the aforementioned K types of carrier frequency. A carrier frequency generator (13,14) generates, as the aforementioned carrier frequencies for the aforementioned K chips, K types of signal with preset initial phase, and a local frequency generator (22,23) generates, as the aforementioned local frequencies for the carrier frequencies, signals which are substantially in phase with the initial phase of the carrier.

    摘要: A quadrature amplitude modulator is described, which is capable of accurately compensating for linear distortions occurring during the modulation process.
    The modulator includes a signal level detector (3) whose output is connected to a parameter generation unit (4), which determines the particular linear transformation to be applied to the I and Q baseband signals. The parameters of the linear transformation are calculated in the following order: DC offset, amplitude balance, and quadrature error. Each correction parameter is calculated in such a way as not to interfere with the correction due to a the previously calculated parameters.
