    摘要: The invention relates to a method for producing castings, wherein a casting mold (5) is pivoted about a horizontal pivot axis (HS) in a casting machine (G). The casting mold (5) has a lid (9), which has a fill opening (13), and a covering side wall (7). A main plane (HE) extending axially parallel to the pivot axis (HS) is placed in the covering side wall (7). A tundish (15) is docked onto the casting mold (5) and the casting mold (5) is then pivoted into a pouring-in position, in which the main plane (HE) of the covering side wall (7) includes an angle β1 that is less than 180° with the bath level (BS) of a metal melt portion (S) to be poured into the tundish (15) and the bath level (BS) of the metal melt portion (S) is located below the fill opening (13) of the casting mold (5).
