摘要： A transfer case (20) for use in a four-wheel drive vehicle is disclosed. The transfer case (20) has an input shaft (44) supported for rotation about a first rotary axis, a first output shaft (32) supported for rotation about a second rotary axis, a second output shaft (42) supported for rotation about a third rotary axis, and a torque transfer arrangement (48) for delivering drive torque from the input shaft (44) to each of the first and second output shafts.

摘要： A power transfer system (10) is provided and equipped with a torque transfer coupling (20) which includes a clutch (38) and a ball-screw actuator (90). The ball-screw actuator (90) functions to axially translate an apply plate (76) via a closed hydraulic system to operatively engage the clutch (38) and vary the frictional engagement thereof.
