    摘要： The present invention relates to a method and system for updating software in a network element of a telecommunication network the units of which are divided into an original side and testing side, and which system comprises a network element (110), comprising units (111) that are logically divided into an original side and testing side, an original software (110 ) for performing traffic transmitting tasks, and a new piece of software to be tested and/or introduced (110 ). According to the invention, the system comprises one or more test connections (112) directed into the units of testing side (111R1...RN) loaded with the new piece of software (110 ), in order to be able to test the new piece of software in question. The invention provides the advantage that it makes it possible to carry out test connections when testing a new piece of software in a network element of a telephone network. Moreover, owing to the invention, a new piece of software may be introduced in a network element of a telephone network maintaining the existing connections at the same.
