摘要: A retractor assembly (2) comprises an arcuate frame member (4) with first and second ends (20, 22). First and second connector engagement features (16, 18) are provided at the first and second ends respectively. An arcuate connector (6) has third and fourth arc terminal ends (8, 10) respectively and first and second frame engagement features (12, 14) configured to engage with the first and second connector engagement features. A groove (24) runs along a proximal surface of the frame member (4). A mobile carriage (30) with a retractor blade assembly (79) engaged thereto is able to translate along the groove (24). The retractor blade assembly (79) is free to yaw, pitch and roll relative to the mobile carriage (30).

摘要: A mobile carriage (30) for connecting a retractor blade (32) to a frame member (4) comprises a track engagement feature (28) and a blade post holder (44) configured to yaw, pitch, roll and translate relative to the track engagement feature. The blade post holder (44) has a post engagement feature to hold a post (36) such that the post is free to translate along its longitudinal axis relative to the blade post holder (44) and free to rotate about the post's longitudinal axis, but is otherwise constrained from moving relative to the holder (44). A carriage locking mechanism (62) is configured to inhibit the blade post holder (44) from yaw, pitch and roll relative to the track engagement feature (28) and to restrict the post (36) from translating along its longitudinal axis.
