The invention proposes a built-in self-testing method of a near field communication device including several functions (31, 32, 33), comprising testing (S1) a first internal communication link (L1) between a first function (32) and a second function (33), by sending (S11), on said first internal communication link (L1), a first command from said first function (32) used as a transmitter to said second function (33) used as a receiver, and by checking (S12) said first command has been correctly executed by said second function (33).
