摘要： In a spinning machine (1) for textile fibres, particularly for spinning carded fibres, the replacement of used cylinders (4) with corresponding full cylinders (11) is carried out by the simultaneous arrangement of the roves (40) of the rolls (13) of each full cylinder (11) in positions beside the corresponding roves (4a) of the spinning lines (5) which connect the rolls (12) of the respective used cylinder (4) to the respective terminal spindles (7), the detachment of the roves (4a) of each used cylinder (4) from the spinning line (5), and the joining to the latter of the roves (40) of the respective full cylinder (11). The joining of the roves (4a) of each used cylinder (4) is achieved by the relative displacement between a bar (37) which extends in front of the spinning machine (1) parallel to the used cylinder (4) and above the respective drawing units (6), and corresponding blocks (36) provided on the bar (37) in order to clamp the end section (42) near the end (41) of each rove (40) of the full cylinder (11) to the bar (37) in a position beside the rove (4a) of the corresponding spinning line (5). The roves (4a) of the used cylinders (4) are detached from the corresponding spinning lines (5) upstream of the joining zone by the reversal of the sense of rotation of the used cylinder (4) before the aforesaid relative displacement is started.

The conveyor (17, 18) is movable horizontally transverse the spindle row (3) to bring the two rows of pins (19, 23) into coaxial alignment with the axes of the spindles (3) when required.

摘要： @ In a widely-used type of ring spinning or twisting machine, each spindle (8, 9) of the machine is provided at its upper end with a spinning head (22). This head (22) is engaged by yarn to be wound onto a cop spool (5) carried on the spindle (8, 9), the yarn passing from the spinning head (22) to the ring traveller (3) associated with that spindle. Due to the engagement of the yarn with the spinning head (22) it is generally not possible to employ known types of automatic cop removal devices with such machines. To overcome this problem, cop-raising means (18) are provided which, at the end of each cop-forming process and prior to operation of the cop-removal device, serve to raise the cop spools (5) above the level of the upper ends of the spinning heads (22) whereby to disengage the yarns therefrom. The cop-raising means (18) comprise, for example, a mechanism arranged to displace upwardly the so-called ring nuts (6, 14) associated with each spindle.

摘要： During the cop-forming phase of operation of a ring spinning or twisting machine, yarn (8) is wound onto spools (12) carried by the spindles (1, 4) in order to form cops (11). At the end of this phase, the yarn (8) associated with each spindle is fastened below the spool by means of several fastening turns (29); thereafter, the full cops (11) are removed with breakage of the yarns (8). In order to facilitate the operation of cop-removal means for automatically and simultaneously removing all of the full cops (11), yarn-separation means (24, 25) are provided that separate the yarns (8) prior to the cop-removal means pciking up the full cops (11). In a preferred embodiment, the yarn-separation means (24, 25) is arranged to snap the yarns (8) by downwardly displacing the members (18, 19) around which the fastening turns (29) are wound.
