摘要： An energy dissipation device with a friction rope for a protection structure comprises a plate with a plurality of through-holes and a rope which passes sequentially through the plurality of holes alternately at one side and the other of the plate in order to take up a sinuous configuration. At least one of the holes has an inclined axis with respect to the perpendicular to the plane of the plate. Additionally or alternatively, at least one of the holes is provided with a sliding bush made of a material having a friction coefficient less than that of the material of the plate. Additionally or alternatively, the plate comprises at least three holes, in which at least a pair of adjacent holes has a spacing which is different from another pair of adjacent holes.
