摘要： An evaporator (1) comprises a housing (2) having a top wall (7) in which a receiving recess (14) is formed for receiving a container (15) for a liquid to be evaporated. A heat transfer element (30) having a first heat transfer abutment face (35) located in the receiving recess (14) transfers heat from an electrically powered heating element (25) to the container (15) through a second heat transfer abutment face (36) of a base (16) of the container (15). The heating element is planar and is located between the heat transfer element (30) and a locating element (40), which retains the heating element (25) tightly between the heat transfer element (30) and the locating element (40). A retaining magnet (48) located in the locating element (40) extends into a bore (52) in the heat transfer element (30) and co-operates with a complementary element (49) of magnetic material located in the base (16) of the container (15) for releasably retaining the container (15) in the receiving recess (14).

摘要： An evaporator (2) for evaporating an aromatherapy oil comprises a body member (18) terminating in a plug element (20) and having a receptacle forming element (22) extending from the plug element (20). The receptacle forming element (22) defines a receptacle (23) for the aromatherapy oil. The plug element (20) is engageable with a heated socket (5) of a vaporising device (1). The heated socket (5) is formed in a housing (12) which is heated by a gas catalytic combustion element (13). A spigot accommodating bore (21) extending into the plug element (20) accommodates a heat transfer spigot (17) located in the heated socket (5). The plug element (20) engages the heated socket (5) and the spigot (17) with heat conducting engagement for transferring heat from the heated socket (5) to the receptacle (23) for evaporating the aromatherapy oil.

摘要： A device (1) for producing an aerosol from vaporisable constituents of tobacco comprises a vaporising chamber (24) within which the tobacco is placed. A main housing (9) which forms a portion of the vaporising chamber also forms a combustion chamber (18) within which a gas catalytic combustion element (19) is located for converting fuel gas to heat by catalytic action. A temperature responsive control valve (61) controls the supply of fuel gas to the combustion chamber for maintaining the temperature in the vaporising chamber. A thermal mass (96) secured to a tab portion (95) of the gas catalytic combustion element maintains the temperature of the tab portion at or above the ignition temperature of the gas catalytic combustion element during periods of fuel gas interruption by the control valve. Vaporised constituents of the tobacco are drawn from the vaporising chamber through an aerosol accommodating tube (37) through a mouthpiece (38). A heat sink member (40) is located in the aerosol accommodating tube for cooling the aerosol and for condensing tar as the aerosol is drawn from the vaporising chamber.

摘要： A portable handheld vaporising device (1) comprises a housing (2) within which a vaporising chamber (7) is formed, wherein a liquid in a container (11) is vaporised to form an aerosol. A heatable element (21) having a dished abutment surface (22) is located in the vaporising chamber (7), and is heated by a gas powered heater (20) located in a main chamber (8) of the housing (2). A wick (18) extending through a port (17) of the container (11) is located spaced apart from the heatable element (21) when the container (11) is in a first state illustrated in Fig. 3. The container (11) is depressable into the housing (2) into a second state for engaging the wick (18) with the abutment surface (22) of the heatable element (21) for evaporating liquid which is wicked through the wick (18) from the container (11). A draw pipe (27) terminating in a mouthpiece (29) draws an aerosol of the vapour evaporated from the liquid for inhaling thereof. Inlet ports (28) accommodate air into the vaporising chamber (7) for forming the aerosol during drawing on the draw pipe (27).
