摘要: The description relates to a set of progressive spectacle lenses in which the individual lenses in the set have a different surface power in the distance vision section and/or a different increase in the surface power from the distance to the close vision sections (Addition Add), each of which has a frontal surface with a continuously varying surface power which increases from the value BK (dpt) suitable for distance vision at the point having coordinates x = 0 mm, y = 8 mm in the lower part of the distance vision section along a bowed line (main line), which coincides with the main line of sight when the regard is lowered, to a value suitable for close vision in the upper region of the close vision section which is higher than the surface power BK in the lower region of the distance vision section by the value Add (dpt) of the addition, and the surface on the side towards the eye may be spherical or aspherical. The invention is distinguished in that, for the height y of the line at which the surface astigmatism is 0.5 dpt and which forms the lower border of the region of the distance vision section suitable for clear vision, y = f(Add,BK) = b(BK) + a/Add, b(BK) = a0 + a1*BK + a2*BK2 applies on both sides at a distance of 25 mm from the main line and, for the coefficients on the nasal and temporal side of the main line, (I) is applicable.

摘要: The description relates to a series of progressive spectacle lenses in which the individual lenses of the series have differing surface refractive indices in the distant-vision section and/or a different increase in the surface refractive index from the distant to the near-vision section (i.e. addition add), each of which has a surface and especially a front surface with a continuously variable surface refractive index coinciding with the value BK [dpt] suitable for distant vision at point BF with the co-ordinates x = 0 mm, y = 8 mm in the lower region of the distant section along a curved line (main line) which approximately coincides with the main line of vision when the eye is lowered, rising to a value suitable for near vision which is the value Add [dpt] of the addition higher than the surface refractive index BK in the lower region of the distant section, and a surface and especially one on the eye side, main sections of which have differing actions, and of which at least one is other than circular. The series for progressive spectacle lenses of the invention with astigmatic action is distinguished in that the deviation dz between the pitch of each of the non-circular sections with a radius corresponding to the greatest radius of the main section concerned is given by dz = aj*r2+bj*r4 in which dz is the difference between the greatest circle and the main section, r is the distance from the peak, that, for the coefficients, |a¿j?| « 2* 10?-4 mm-1¿ and |b¿j?| « 1* 10?-6 mm-3¿ in which the main section with the greater peak curvature is j= 1 and that with the lesser is j = 2 and the coefficients a¿j? and bj are given by the functions aj = fj1 (sph, zyl) = aj1 (sph) + bj1 (sph) * zyl; bj = fj2 (sph, zyl) = aj2 (sph) + bj2 (sph) * zyl in which sph is the spherical effect in the distant reference point in minus cylinder notation, zyl is the cylindrical effect in the distant reference point in the minus cylinder notation and the coefficients aj2 and bj2 are a second-order function of s.
