摘要： An elevator brake assembly (22) for braking a moving element (28) of an elevator system (2) comprises a first brake (32a) and a second brake (32b). The first and second brakes (32a, 32b) are configured for braking the same moving element (28). The second brake (32b) is configured for acting onto the first brake (32a) for increasing the braking force provided by the first brake (32a). One of the brakes (32a, 32b) is a fast brake which is configured for engaging faster than the other brake, which is configured as a slow brake, when the brakes (32a, 32b) are activated.
