Abstract:
A communication apparatus and a method for simply allowing two communication systems, which use the same communication medium but are different in communication format from each other, to be coexistent. There is used an access coexistence signal for notifying premises communication systems (110,130) of the existence of an access communication system (120). There is also used a premises coexistence signal for sharing a resource of frequency or time between the premises communication systems (110,130). Moreover, these two coexistence signals are asynchronously transmitted, thereby eliminating the necessity of synchronizing process between the access communication system (120) and each of the premises communication systems (110,130).
Abstract:
Both home-based communication systems (110 and 130) and an access-based communication system (120) are made to coexist by the TDM synchronized with an electric power period. A communication system needing the securement of AV-QoS assigns the transmission timing of its own slave station by synchronizing a beacon period with the period of a power line.
