Abstract: A plasma display device being prevented from deterioration in the brightness of phosphor layers, and a production method capable of forming phosphor layers constantly and free from nozzle clogging. A production method capable forming green phosphor layers by coating a discharge cell with a green phosphor ink mainly consisting of a green phosphor via a nozzle, at least one of phosphor layers having a green phosphor layer being zero- or positively-charged and containing a green phosphor having a crystal structure of Zn2SiO4:Mn, wherein the green phosphor ink consists of phosphor powder coated with positively-charged oxides and having a crystal structure of Zn2SiO4:Mn and phosphor powder positively charged by pulverizing phosphor powder negatively charged and having a crystal structure of Zn2SiO4:Mn so as to be fractured at crystal planes.
