摘要： An intumescent strip for fire protecting cellular beams is disclosed. The intumescent strips of the present invention are made from flexible intumescent compositions and retain their flexibility after being molded into a solid. The strips are often generally U-shaped to fit over the edge of an opening in a cellular beam. The intumescent strip may be adhered to the beam with an adhesive and the entire beam including the strips may be covered with a thin film intumescent coating.
