摘要： A step assembly for facilitating access to a vehicle comprises: mounting means; a platform; and a pivot arm pivotably mounted on the mounting means by means of a mounting pivot, the platform being pivotably mounted on the pivot arm by means of a platform pivot, whereby the platform can move from a stored position out to an extended position by rotation of the pivot arm, and wherein the pivot axis of the mounting pivot is between vertical and horizontal relative to the platform, such that the extended position is offset from the stored position vertically and longitudinally of the platform.
