    摘要: A description is given of the manufacture of an isotropic, permanently magnetic material which comprises Nd and/or Pr, Fe and C. Said material comprises 10-20 at.% of Nd and/or Pr, 70-85 at.% of Fe, 4-11 at.% of C and 0.1-2 at.% of B. By virtue of a thermal treatment at a temperature between 900 and 1050°C, the material has an unexpectedly high coercive force of at least 150 kA/m. The coercive force is increased to minimally 500 kA/m by a grinding treatment in which a powder is formed having an average particle size of 2 to 40 µm. Said powder is very suitable for use in a synthetic resin-bound isotropic permanent magnet.

    摘要: A description is given of a method of manufacturing a permanent magnet on the basis of NdFeB. In this method a powder of NdFeB and a powder of a Ga alloy, consisting mainly of Ga and one or more than one rare earth metals (RE), is mixed to form a mixture which is subsequently aligned, compressed and sintered. Such alloys can be ground into homogeneous, fine-grain powders in a simple manner. The composition of the alloy preferably corresponds to the formula REGa x , where x = 1 or x = 2. Alloys which are very suitable contain Dy and/or Tb as the rare earth metal.
