摘要： The invention relates to a method for the production of metal carbide powders from powdered carburization material i.e. metal, reducible metal compounds and/or carbon. Microwave technology is used to produce the temperature required and to add heat required for initiation of the carburization reaction. Said method is particularly economically feasible and produces a metal carbide and hard metal manufactured therewith having a high and particularly constant quality,with a high volume content of carbide platelets. Said carbide has a plate-shaped structure.
