A method and an automatic apparatus (10) suitable for steam-ironing pairs of socks and the subsequent removal from respective pairs of ironing forms (14A, 14B), maintaining the socks of each pair alongside one another. The ironing forms (14A, 14B) for each pair of socks are fastened to a pair of shuttles (13A, 13B) configured and positioned for supporting the two ironing forms (14A, 14B) on parallely arranged and spaced apart planes. Each pair of shuttles (13A, 13B) are sequentially movable along branches (I, II, III, IV) of a quadrangular path comprising a boarding zone (15) for loading each pair of socks wherein the shuttles and the ironing forms (14A, 14B) of each pair of shuttles (13A, 13B) are axially spaced apart from one another; the apparatus further comprises a set of combs (40, 43) for approaching and moving away the pairs of shuttles (13A, 13B) at the boarding zone (15) an ironing station (17), a drying station (18) and a station (19) for removal at each pairs of socks by maintaining each pair of ironing forms (14A, 14B) and each pair of socks, alongside one another.

A method and an automatic device for removing pairs of men's socks (Sl, S2) from support forms (11A, 11B) in a steam-ironing apparatus. The forms (11A, 11B) with the socks, from a drying station (14), are step moved in an indexed manner to a removal station (15) where the socks (Sl, S2) of each pair are removed simultaneously from the support forms (11A, 11B). The support forms (11A, 11B) which are placed alongside one another in relation to each pair of socks (S1, S2), are moved from bottom to top along a sloped guide (18), to an upper position where a gripping device (22) retains the pair of socks (Sl, S2) by the foot, after detensioning the foot of the socks in respect to the foot portion of the forms. The socks (Sl, S2) are removed by making a first partial removal by a downward movement of the support forms (11A, 11B) retaining the socks (S1, S2) by the gripping device (22); subsequently, the removal of the pair of socks (Sl, S2) is completed by an upward movement of the gripping device (22) maintaining the socks (Sl, S2) in an extended condition alongside one another.

A method and an automatic apparatus for separate collection and compaction of beverage containers (W), in metal, glass and plastic material. The containers (W) are inserted manually from above, and at random, in open cells (13) of a step conveyor (12), moved along an annular path from a loading zone (12A), through an identifying zone (15) of the containing cells and the material of the containers (W), to an unloading zone (12B) where the single containers (W) are selectively unloaded through respective trapdoors and compacted in function of the identification signals of the material of the containers (W) in the open cells (13) emitted by sensors (29) at the identifying zone (15), operationally connected to a control unit (20) of the apparatus.
