摘要: This disclosure provides systems, methods, and apparatuses for wireless communication. An example apparatus selects a first resource unit (RU) of a plurality of RUs for transmitting a physical (PHY) layer convergence protocol (PLCP) protocol data unit (PPDU) over a wireless medium. The first RU may include a set of contiguous tones occupying a first frequency bandwidth. The plurality of RUs may collectively span a second frequency bandwidth greater than the first frequency bandwidth. The apparatus maps the set of contiguous tones of the first RU to a set of non-contiguous tones distributed across the second frequency bandwidth using a tone mapping vector and a tone mapping offset associated with the first RU. The apparatus transmits the PPDU over the set of non-contiguous tones distributed across the second frequency bandwidth.

摘要: This disclosure provides methods, devices and systems for amplitude shaping encoding, and specifically, for indicating boundaries in bitstreams encoded using amplitude shaping encoding. In some aspects, a transmitting device may insert, into an bitstream to indicate a boundary, a sequence of amplitude bits not associated with any patterns of bit values in a lookup table used for the encoding. In some other aspects, a transmitting device may monitor a length of the amplitude bits in a bitstream during the encoding and stop the encoding on information bits at an end of a current data unit responsive to the length reaching a threshold. In some other aspects, a transmitting device may monitor the length of the information bits and, for each data unit, determine whether a boundary is or would be reached. Responsive to determining that a boundary is or would be reached, the transmitting device may not include, before the boundary, any amplitude bits generated based on the information bits in the data unit, and instead add padding bits after a last amplitude bit before the boundary.

摘要: This disclosure provides systems, methods, and apparatuses, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for determining one or more tone sequences (for example, for wake-up procedures). In one aspect, an access point (AP) may wake a mobile station (STA) from a low power mode using a wake-up packet, where an ON symbol of the wake-up packet is modulated using a tone sequence. To reduce the likelihood of a STA falsely identifying the ON symbol as a packet preamble, the AP may implement a tone sequence that satisfies a correlation metric threshold. For example, for a set of candidate tone sequences, each tone sequence may be associated with a correlation metric and peak-to-average-power ratio (PAPR) coordinate pair, and the tone sequence for modulating the ON symbol of the wake-up packet may be selected from a lower convex hull of the coordinate pairs.

摘要: The present disclosure provides techniques for preamble puncturing in wireless local area networks (WLANs). In one implementation, an access point (AP) can identify, within a channel width, one or more bandwidth regions associated with incumbent technologies. The AP can broadcast or advertise, to a basic service set (BSS) initiated or started by the AP, a preamble puncture pattern in one or more management frames, the preamble puncture pattern being based on the bandwidth regions associated with incumbent technologies. In another implementation, an AP can identify a single user (SU) preamble puncture transmission, and can signal in a common portion of a SIG-B field of a multi-user (MU) PPDU format that a resource unit (RU) size is assigned to a same user to indicate the SU preamble puncture transmission. Although these techniques may be used in any frequency band, typical frequency bands may include, but are not limited to, a 2.4 GHz band, a 5 GHz band, and/or a 6 GHz band.
