A frequency conversion compressor of the clothes dryer includes a frequency ascending stage, a frequency retaining stage, and a frequency descending stage. The open degree of the electronic expansion valve can be adjusted through parameters such as the operation time/power/current at an operation frequency/a certain frequency of the frequency conversion compressor; in the same clothes drying mode, a reference value of the operation time/power/current at the certain frequency is set, and an actual value of the operation time/power/current at the certain frequency of the compressor and the set reference value are compared; if the actual value of the operation time at the certain frequency is less than the set reference value or the actual value of the power/current is greater than the reference value, the open degree of the expansion value is turned up; and if the actual value of the operation time at the certain frequency is greater than the set reference value or the actual value of the power/current is less than the set reference value, the open degree of the expansion valve is turned down.
