    摘要: A control signal generator (60) is responsive to the output of a pair of correlation indicators (40, 50). One correlation indicator (40) provides an indication of the presence or absence of correlation between high frequency components derived without difference in delay from the respective luminance and chrominance outputs of a composit color signal comb filter system (11, 3, 15, 19, 21, 27, 17). The other correlation indicator (50) provides an indication of the presence or absence of correlation between high frequency components derived with a difference in delay (52) from the respective comb filter outputs, the delay difference corresponding to a quarter period at the nominal color subcarrier frequency. A control signal (SC) is developed in response to a correlation indication by either or both of the indicators. The luminance output of the comb filter, subjected to high frequency component removal (31) is selected (B, 25) during control signal development.

    摘要: In a color TV receiver, a first digital signal of "m" bits represents a high frequency component of a combed luminance signal, and a second digital signal of "m" bits represents combed chrominance component. The "k" most significant bits of the first signal (where "k" is less than "m") are fed to respective inputs of a first "or" gate (33), while the "j" most significant bits of the second signal (where "j" is less than, or equal to "m") are fed to respective inputs of a second "or" gate (35). The "or" gate outputs are fed, without delay difference, to inputs of a first "and" gate (37), and are fed, with a delay (38) difference of 90° at color subcarrier frequency, to inputs of a second "and" gate (39). Sequence recognition apparatus (50), responsive to the outputs of both "and" gates, develops a correlation indication in response to existence of predetermined sequences of outputs from one or both "and" gates. A control signal former (60), responsive to correlation indication, forms control signal for actuating high frequency component suppression (27,29,31,25) in the receiver's luminance channel to prelude hanging dot display.

    摘要: A video signal processor is disclosed which detects (20) the presence of a complementary-color vertical transition, for instance by detecting that a given line has color information represented by a color vector at a given phase angle, and that the preceding line has color information represented by a color vector at the same phase angle to obtain an indication of the presence of a complementary-color vertical transition. If a complementary-color vertical transition is detected, then the comb filtered luminance and chrominance signals are selectively coupled (30) to the luminance and chrominance processing channels (40, 50) so that the chrominance processing channel (50) receives primarily color information and the color information is excluded from the luminance processing channel (40). This counteracts the adverse effects of the complementary-color vertical transition.

    摘要: A motion detector is provided for detecting interimage motion represented by video signals. For composite video signals, the detector analyses both the chrominance and luminance components for image motion. Interimage motion represented by the luminance component is determined from interimage signal differences. The interimage signal differences (10,20) are separated into high (50,22) and low (22) frequency spectra corresponding to fine and coarse luminance image detail. Selected signal differences from the low frequency spectrum are summed (62) and threshold detected (64) to determine motion in the coarse image detail. The high frequency spectrum of the sample differences are applied to parallel summing circuits (72,76,74,78) which sum different combinations of sample differences in order to discriminate (80,82) motion signals from non-moving chrominance transitions. The detection signals from the high and low frequency motion detectors are combined (86) to produce a luminance motion signal.
    Interimage motion represented by the chrominance component is detected by combining selected ones of interimage signal sums. The interimage signal sums are high pass filtered and applied to parallel combining elements which discriminate chrominance motion from vertical luminance transitions.
