The invention relates to a method for introducing foam material (3) into hollow chamber profiles, in particular hollow chamber profiles for windows or doors. An extrusion process is used to shape the hollow chamber profile (1), which has at least one hollow chamber (2, 2'), wherein at least one reinforcement strip (6) is arranged on at least one wall of at least one hollow chamber (2) which is to be filled by foaming. Then, foam material (3) is introduced into the hollow chamber (2) to be filled, wherein the reinforcement strip (6) avoids deformation of the hollow chamber (2) on account of the excess pressure which arises during the foaming operation. The invention also relates to a hollow chamber profile (1).
