The lower gusset panels (76) are located between the bottom of the adjacent article (B) and the bottom panel (12) of the carrier (10).

    摘要： A partition for separating bottles in a carton is formed from a unitary blank having fold lines designed to form a short leg (28) connected to parallel long legs (30, 32). Bottle separating wings (44, 48, 54, 62, 64, 66, 76, 78) are connected to the legs along fold lines so as to extend out at right angles to the legs, with some of the wings extending out on opposite sides of the leg to which they are connected. Irregular edges of the wings enable portions of the wings to extend out a distance slightly greater than the distance between the long legs so as to ensure that the wings extend beyond the midpoints of adjacent bottles.

The arrangement permits loading by placing bottles (B) on the bottom panel (14) and pushing down on the handle panel (22), which causes the upper panel (18) sections to pivot down over the bottles (B). Support tabs (28) may surround the bottle openings (26) in the upper panel (18) to engage shoulders on the bottle necks.

The dispenser openings are in either a side panel (16) or end panel flaps (82, 84) and are designed to permit removal of one article (C) at a time from each of two stacked layers. Each dispenser opening is covered by a tear-away section (30) and is at least as long as the height of a packaged article (C). The height of the dispensers opening is less than the width of an article (C) throughout substantial portions of the dispenser openings (30). When the dispenser openings are in an end panel tear-away sections (30), the dispenser openings are provided in the end panel flaps (82, 84) as well as in underlying end panel glue flaps (108, 112).
