The body (11) and flange (15) are shipped with at least one extra set of permanent fasteners (46, 50) different in length from the fasteners (23) used on the flange (15) to permit adding adapters (47) for a process connection. When a different thickness adapter (47) is used for process connection, only the correct length fasteners will be capable of being threaded into the threaded openings and also seal the flange or adapter.

A cable protector (40) comprises a cylindrical reel sleeve (41) having an opening (44) in a side wall (43), and an open bottom end. A cable (35), with first and second connectors, is helically wound around an axis (46) of the reel sleeve, the second connector (36) extends out through the bottom of the reel sleeve and is attached to a second circuit (20) board within a second housing (11). The first connector (37) is retained in the interior of the sleeve, to allow for the threading attachment of the second housing to a first housing (12) without damaging the cable. After attachment of the two housings, the first connector is passed out through the opening in the side wall and connected to a first circuit board (23) within the first housing. The helical winding of the cable permits the two housing to be repositioned rotationally after connection without causing cable twisting.

Ceci empêche la pressurisation accidentelle de la bride (15) et du corps (11) du détecteur de pression jusqu'au montage des fixations permanentes. Le corps (11) et la bride (15) sont expédiés avec au moins un ensemble supplémentaire de fixations permanentes (46, 50) de longueur différente de celle des fixations (23) utilisées sur la bride (15) afin de pouvoir ajouter des adaptateurs (47) pour une connexion. Lorsqu'un adaptateur (47) d'épaisseur différente est utilisé pour la connexion d'un système, seules les fixations de longueur correcte pourront être vissées dans les alésages taraudés et assureront l'étanchéité de la bride ou de l'adaptateur.
