The controller (150) controls enclosing of an enclosure into the envelope based on the flap length.

摘要: A medium processing apparatus (100) for processing a medium ejected from an image forming apparatus includes conveying means (11, 12, 13), a slit (23), medium processing means (19, 26), a stopper (25a, 25b), and a plurality of detecting means (50). The conveying means (11, 12, 13) conveys the medium ejected from the image forming apparatus. The slit (23) communicates with an opening of a housing (25) into which a medium is manually inserted from outside. The slit (23) includes a placement face (23a) on which the inserted medium is placed. The placement face (23a) has a first side and a second side orthogonal to the first side. The first side and the second side are not parallel to a direction in which a side face of the housing (25) extends. The medium processing means (19, 26) processes the medium conveyed by the conveying means (11, 12, 13) or the medium placed on the slit (23). The stopper (25a, 25b) regulates edges of the medium along the first side and the second side of the placement face (23a). The plurality of detecting means (50) is disposed on the stopper (25a, 25b) to detect the medium.

The driving force transmission mechanism rotates the guide toward a first posture from a second posture in conjunction with the forward rotation of the second folding roller and rotates the guide from the first posture toward the second posture in conjunction with the backward rotation of the second folding roller.
