摘要:
Methods and systems are disclosed herein for a media guidance application that may monitor the brain activity of a user and determine a first brain state of the user based on the brain activity, in which the first brain state corresponds to a first mood. The media guidance application may also select a second brain state that corresponds to a second mood of the user. In response to determining the first brain state does not correspond to the second brain state, the media, guidance application, may generate a display of a media asset to the user that is associated with inducing the second brain state.

Systems and methods for navigating a three-dimensional (3D) media guidance application are provided. A first selectable media guidance object may be displayed on a screen that when viewed through the stereoscopic optical device may appear in a first plane. A second selectable media guidance object may be displayed on the screen that when viewed through the stereoscopic optical device may appear in a second plane. The first and second planes may be perceived to intersect an axis normal to the display in different locations. A user selection of at least one of the first and second selectable media guidance objects may be received. An action of moving a cursor in 3D space or selecting one of the selectable media guidance objects displayed in the 3D space may be performed based on the user selection. The user selection may be performed with an input device having an accelerometer.

Systems and methods for providing remote access to interactive media guidance applications are provided. In particular, the systems and methods for providing remote access to interactive media guidance applications provided herein generally relate to enhancing remote access capabilities by providing algorithms and techniques for managing and correcting disparities that may be found between program listings data used by the interactive media guidance application and the remote access server.

Methods and systems for transmitting an interruption-free version of a television program for recording on a user equipment device. In one aspect, a system transmits a first stream including a television program to a user equipment device. The system receives an indication that the television program is being recorded on the user equipment device. The system determines whether an interruption is imminent during transmission of the television program. In response to determining that the interruption is imminent, the system generates a second stream including the television program. The second stream does not include the interruption during the transmission of the television program. The system transmits the second stream to the user equipment device along with an instruction to switch recording of the television program from the first stream to the second stream.

Methods and systems are disclosed herein for a media guidance application configured to monitor brain activity in various regions of a brain of a user in order to navigate, recommend, provide access to, and perform operations related to media content. For example, in response to detecting that particular brain activity in a region of the brain does not correspond to a threshold range of brain activity for that region of the brain, a media guidance application may perform a media guidance operation related to that region of the brain.

Methods and systems are disclosed herein for updating a knowledge graph based on a user confirmation. A media guidance application receives a user communication and isolates a term of the user communication. The media guidance application identifies a candidate component of a knowledge graph associated with the term. The media guidance application requests user input directed to confirming whether the term is associated with the candidate component. In response to receiving the user input, the media guidance application modifies a strength of association between the term and the component.

Determine and compare quality of service (QoS) for user device receiving same cloud-based media asset from plurality of over-the-top (OTT) content providers and display, using media listing, the media asset from content provider with better QoS. In one aspect, based on comparing same content from multiple OTT providers, server ranks first provider with higher QoS in ranked list above second provider with lower quality. In another aspect, first and second QoS is compared to threshold quality and resulting media guide based on comparison. Quality characteristics may include bandwidth constraints, error rate, bit rate, throughput lag, transmission delay, availability, latency or jitter. First and second QoS may be a weighted average and a checksum value may be queried from user device. Database listing ratings may compare different QoS with ratings displayed simultaneously in EPG. QoS alerts, notifications, user profiles, subscription data and automatic downloads may be used. Further comparison to same content from a third OTT provider may be determined. Interactive television EPG with aggregated content from numerous video on demand (VOD) providers allows viewers to simultaneously search media content libraries of each source via single interface and ensure they receive best quality video streaming available based on subscription options.
