    摘要: A power distribution protection system comprising: a source (102) coupled to a load by a distribution line (104), the distribution line being segmented by a plurality of fault protection devices (106, 108), the fault protection devices of each segment (114) forming a team; each of the source and the plurality of fault protection devices including a communication device (602) permitting transmission or reception of a signaling message, and each of the source and the plurality of fault protection devices being operable to monitor the prevailing radio environment in the system to verify a communication response time, and to monitor the current in the system to detect an abnormal current, wherein, upon detection of an abnormal current, each of the source and plurality of fault protection devices detecting the abnormal current is operable to communicate a signaling message to at least one other member of its respective team, and wherein each of the plurality of fault protection devices receiving a signaling message is operable to adjust a fault protection characteristic by delaying operation for a configured delay time, only if the communication response time is not exceeding the configured delay time, such that the one of the source and the plurality of fault protection devices nearest to the fault on the distribution line operates to isolate the fault from the remainder of the distribution line.
