摘要:
A method for producing a fine powder of metallic nickel comprised of fine spherical particles having an average particle diameter of 0.05 to 10 νm characterized in that it comprises a first step of dissolving nickel carbonate and/or nickel hydroxide represented by Ni(CO3)x . (OH)y, wherein 0 ≤ x ≤ 1.5 and 0 ≤ y ≤ 3, in an aqueous ammonia solution, or an aqueous solution of ammonia and ammonium carbonate, ammonium hydrogen carbonate or a carbonate or hydrogen carbonate of an alkali metal to form an aqueous nickel solution, preparing a W/O type emulsion comprising a non-aqueous medium and droplets of the aqueous nickel solution, and removing volatile components form the droplets to precipitate nickel carbonate, thereby forming fine spherical particles of nickel carbonate, and a second step of heating the nickel carbonate particles under a hydrogen atmosphere in the presence of 0.01 to 30 wt % in terms of oxide of a fusion preventive agent comprising a compound of at least one element selected from among an alkaline earth element, aluminum, silicon and a rare earth element, thereby reducing the nickel carbonate particles.
