Thus, since coils needed to change the position of an objective lens (130) are incorporated into a single coil assembly (160) and arranged between a pair of magnets (150), an installation space is small so that the apparatus can be made compact. Also, the control sensitivity can be improved by extending an effective length of a coil by appropriately matching the magnet polarized into two poles and the coil assembly.
