    摘要： A machine of the type capable of using strips of material wound in reels (B, B'), for example wrapping, packaging and cellophane wrapping machines for cigarettes, or similar, the machine comprising at least one unwinding spindle (3) of a reel (B) of a strip of material which is supported in or which may be brought into a predetermined unwinding operating position; a store (2, 5) for at least one further reel (B') to replace the empty reel (B) on the spindle (3); means (17, 17') of transferring one replacement reel (B') at a time from the store (5) to the unwinding spindle (3) in the operating position. According to the invention, the unwinding spindle (3) is integrated with the store (5) and forms its end on the output side. Advantageously, the store consists of a supporting bar (5) on which the cores of the reels (B') are threaded and whose front free end carries the spindle (3) coaxially.

    摘要： The object of the invention is a feeding device for withdrawing from a feeding hopper (1) rod-like articles, particularly filter plugs in the manufacture of filter-tipped cigarettes, and for singling same. The device comprises a rotary fluted drum (2) forming at least part of the bottom of hopper (1), and a repelling roller (13) that is arranged between the wall (9) of the hopper (1) and the said drum (2), in correspondence of the end from which the said drum comes out of the hopper, and that is rotated in a controlled manner in the same direction as the drum. The repelling roller (13) is so mounted as to be movable substantially parallelly to the peripheral surface of drum (2) and, more particularly, it is carried by a lever (10) that is swingable about a shaft (4) which is concventric or close to the shaft (6) for the rotation of the drum. The repelling roller (13) is urged by return means (14) toward a normal operative position in which it pushes back the rod-like articles not contained within the flutes (102) in drum (2), and prevents same from getting out of the hopper (1) or from becoming wedged between the wall (9) of the hopper and the drum (2). The abnormal, deformed, or aggregated rod-like articles which are engaged in one flute (102) in drum (2), and protrude therefrom to a greater degree than the normal one, push the repelling roller (13) toward a displaced position in which sensor means are actuated and determine the stopping of drum (2) and/or of the machine associated with the feeding device. The travel of the repelling roller (13) from its normal operative position to its displaced position is a relatively long travel, so taht the roller is given the possibility of pushing back the abnormal article or articles or of loosening their clusters, before promoting the stopping of the drum or of the machine.

    摘要： The object of the invention is a withdrawing and singling device for withdrawing rod-like articles, particular­ly filter plugs in the manufacture of filter-tipped cigarettes, from a rod-like article supplying hopper (1), and for singling the said articles, which device is provided with a fluted rotary drum (2), which preferably is a suction drum, that makes up at least part of the hopper bottom, and with a so-called repelling roller (3) that in correspondence of the end from which the said drum (2) issues from the hopper (1), is arranged between the fixed wall (4) of the hopper (1) and the fluted rotary drum (2), and is rotated in the same direction (F2) as the direction (F1) of drum (2), so as to push back any rod-like articles (B) which are held within the flutes (102) in drum (2), and as to prevent them from coming out of the hopper (1) or from getting wedged between the hopper wall (4) and the drum (2). The repelling roller (3) is so provided that it allows any group or cluster formed by a plurality of rod-like articles (B1) associated with a same flute (102) in drum (2), to pass thereunder, and, more particularly, it consists of a cylindrical brush. A sensing means, such as a feeling lever (7), is further more provided, and is responsive to a group of two or more rod-like articles (B1) associated with a same flute (102) in drum (2), any time such a group can pass under the repelling roller (3). The sensing means (7) controls removing means, such as, for example, means for generating compressed air jets, which are adapted for removing from the fluted rotary drum (2) any group of rod-like articles (B1) sensed by the sensing means (7).

    摘要： This invention relates to the machines for manufacturing filter-tip cigarettes by forming successive groups (S+2F+S) each formed by two aligned cigarettes (S) and one interposed double filter (2F), and by wrapping and glueing a covering strip (T) around the double filter (2F) and adjacent ends of the two cigarettes (S). The formation of the groups (S+2F+S) is carried out on a composition drum (1) whereon the double filters (2F) and the pairs of cigarettes (S) are held by suction. The application of the strip (T) may be carried out either on said composition drum (1) or on a successive assembling drum (6), and the strips are fed by means of a strip-carrying drum (7) whereon they are held by suction.
    According to the invention, in case of absence of a component, e.g. a double filter (2F), in a group (S+2F+S), all the other components of the same group, i.e. the two cigarettes (S) and covering strip (T), are discarded automatically by affecting for this purpose only the suction exerted on the components to be discarded.
