摘要: When an ink cartridge is installed in a normal direction, the projection of a holder is first fitted into a recessed part of a cartridge in a process of push down, succeeding push down is enabled and an ink supply port is fitted to an ink supply needle, however, if an ink cartridge is installed in an improper state, the bottom hits on the projection formed so that it is wide and push down is interrupted. Hereby, the ink supply needle can be prevented from being damaged due to the installation in an improper direction of the ink cartridge.

摘要: An ink jet recording head for ejecting ink drops by expanding or shrinking a pressure generation chamber (52) of an ink flow route forming member (6) consisting of nozzle openings (2), the pressure generation chamber (52), an ink supply port (54), and a reservoir (53). Piezoelectric vibrators (46) are disposed and fixed in a row with a predetermined pitch, to a piezoelectric vibrator support plate (44) having excellent cutting properties and the piezoelectric vibrator support plate (44) is fixed to a base (45) made of material having a larger rigidity than the support plate (44). If the piezoelectric vibrator support plate (44) receives reaction forces when ink is ejected, the base (45) having a larger rigidity than the support plate (44) resists the reaction force and suppresses undesired displacement of the contiguous piezoelectric vibrators.

摘要: An ink jet recording head formed by laminating and fixing: a flow path forming plate (3) having through holes (3a) for defining pressure producing chambers (9), ink supply inlets (10), and a common ink chamber, a nozzle plate (2) having nozzle openings (1) communicating with the pressure producing chambers (9), and a vibration plate (4) having diaphragm portions (4e) that are resiliently deformed in response to displacement of piezoelectric vibration elements (6) one upon another with an adhesive so as to be watertight. The vibration plate (4) has frame-like thick wall portions (4b,4c,4d) that extend as far as to the ink supply inlet (10) side of the pressure producing chamber (9) as well as to the inner side of the nozzle opening (1), and portions closer to a piezoelectric vibration element (6) than to both ends of the pressure producing chamber (9) are made to be supported by a base (7). As a result of this construction, a nonsupported region of the pressure producing chamber (9) can be shortened, which in turn improves the rigidity of a substrate unit (5) as a whole.
