摘要: For a print head in an impact dot printer, a drive transistor 33 is connected in series to a head coil 59 that drives a print wire, and a pulse 32 is used to turn the drive transistor 33 on and off. Thus, the drive current i is supplied to the head coil 59 to drive the print wire. The input end of a DC/DC converter 2 is connected to the juncture of the head coil 59 and the drive transistor 33, and the output end of the DC/DC converter 2 is connected to the juncture of a power source 34 and the head coil 59. The DC/DC converter 2 clamps, at a constant level, e.g., 90V, the inductive electromotive force of a high voltage that is generated by the head coil 59 when the drive transistor 33 is rendered off. Then, the DC/DC converter 2 transforms the clamped voltage to a voltage equivalent to the voltage level of the power source 34, e.g., 35V. As a result, instead of energy being wasted by the transistor 33, the energy accumulated by the head coil 59 is returned to the power source 34 and can again be employed, while the input voltage of the DC/DC converter 2 is maintained at a constant level by an initial charger 4.

摘要: A lens sheet 80 is provided with a lens layer 83 which is formed by arranging lenses Gk, which extend in a y direction as a first direction, in a plurality of lines in an x direction as a second direction which is a direction which is orthogonal to the first direction, and an ink absorbing layer 86 which configures a surface on the opposite side with regard to a surface which is configured by the lens layer 83, where the thickness of an edge 81A which is an end surface on one side of the lens layer 83 in the x direction is thinner than the thickness of an edge 81B which is an end surface on the other side. In other words, a width W1 of a lens G1 which is formed at the edge 81A is wider than a width W2 of a lens Gn which is formed at the edge 81B.

摘要: An apparatus is disclosed comprising: a printer case (100) accommodating therein at least a platen (140) and a print head (150); a first cover (110) for covering a top of the printer case (100), the first cover (110) having a top plate (110a) and side plates (110b) formed integrally with the top plate (110a); and a second cover (120) pivotally mounted on the first cover (110), the second cover (120) having a top plate (120a) and side plates (120b) formed integrally with the top plate (120a); characterised in that an overlap portion (190;195) is provided between the side plates (110a) of the first cover (110) and the side plates (120a) of the second cover (120) so that substantially no opening is formed between the side plates (110a) of the first cover (110) and the side plates (120a) of the second cover (120) when the second cover (120) is pivoted relative to the first cover (110). Noise generated by the print head operating on the platen is thus reduced.
