摘要: The aim of the invention is to provide a multifunctional communications terminal (1) and a corresponding signalling system which is able to carry out monitoring functions, such as the monitoring of temperature, brightness, sound, pressure, etc., in an especially simple and economical manner. To this end the terminal is operated in both a normal mode (II) and a signalling mode (I) by using a switching device (2) or not using said switching device (2). When the terminal is switched to signalling mode a connection is automatically established to a defined other communications terminal if an external signalling signal (EX) is applied to a connecting unit (3) which has accumulator contacts (8) for charging an energy supply (7) of the terminal and if a detection unit (9) for detecting the voltage/ current applied to the contacts evaluates the external signalling signal together with a control device (4, 10) in signalling mode. When the multifunctional communications terminal is switched to normal mode, the detection device and the control device control the charging of the energy supply device.
