摘要: An image shooting unit 21 generates an image signal Spa having an image shooting frame rate. A frame addition unit 41 performs frame addition on the image signal DVb having the image shooting frame rate. Control unit 61 controls drive unit 71 and the frame addition unit 41 based on a frame rate setting signal RSF from operation unit 62, and controls a variation of the image shooting frame rate in image shooting unit 21 and/or a switch of the number of additive frames in the frame addition unit 41, thus allowing an image signal DVj having a desired frame rate to be output from the frame addition unit 41. Thus, increasing the additive frame in number even without decreasing the image shooting frame rate at a low-speed shooting of the image allows such an image signal DVj shot at the low speed to be obtained.

摘要: An image pickup block (12) of an optical head section (1) can be detachably mounted on a camera body (2). The block (12) is provided with an EEPROM (129) in which the setup data of a video camera including shading correcting data regarding the image pickup device and destination data are stored. When the power supply for the video camera is turned on, a microcomputer (201) in the camera main body (2) reads out the setup data from the ROM (129) and sets up the camera by controlling each circuit in the image pickup block (12) and camera body (2). For example, the microcomputer (201) sets up the camera based on the shading correction data so that video signals whose shading is corrected can be outputted. In addition, the microcomputer (2) sets up the camera so that video signals which meet the signal specifications of the destination can be outputted by controlling a level converting circuit (206) and setup level signal adding circuit (207).

摘要: An image signal producing part (11) produces an image signal (DVb) of a variable-frame-rate picked-up image whose frame rate has been made variable. A frame rate converting part (30) converts the frame rate of an image signal (DVu) supplied thereto into the frame rate of the image signal (DVb) and synchronizes the image signal (DVu) with the image signal (DVb) to produce an image signal (DVw). A monitor image signal producing part (40) uses the image signals (DVb,DVw) to produce and output, as monitor image signals (DMTout,SMTout), an image signal (DVmix) of an image in which the images based on image signals (DVb,DVw) are mixed with each other. Alternatively, the monitor image signal producing part (40) produces and outputs, as the monitor image signals (DMTout,SMTout), an image signal (DVwp) of an image in which a portion of the image based on the image signal (DVb) has been replaced by the image based on the image signal (DVw). It is thus possible to simultaneously display the variable-frame-rate picked-up image and an image that has a different frame rate.
